Acting California State Director

In his permanent capacity, Gordon is the Colorado Associate State Director and brings a wealth of experience to California as acting State Director. He started his career in the Planning and Decision Support Division at the BLM headquarters in Washington, DC. During his tenure there, Gordon held pivotal roles, including Division Chief for Fish and Wildlife Conservation, Senior Policy Advisor, AIM project manager, and riparian program lead. His contributions extended to serving as the Division Chief for Resource Services and as the Associate Center Director at the National Operation Center. Gordon's journey with the BLM began through the Presidential Management Fellowship program in 2006, supported by his educational background, which includes a PhD in Soil Science from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho.
