News

Join our team! The new year brings good news for hiring vacant positions in the BLM. Over the next few months, the BLM will be filling many of its long-standing vacancies to help rebuild and reestablish the BLM Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

These vacancies will be open to current and former federal employees, veterans, individuals with disabilities, Native Americans, military spouses, and applicants that are eligible for special hiring authorities. If you know someone who was a federal employee, they may be eligible to return to the federal government under the reinstatement program. Reinstatement allows them to reenter the federal competitive service workforce without competing with the public. Reinstatement eligibility enables previous competitive service employees to apply for Federal jobs open only to eligible candidates.

In addition, the federal government offers unique hiring paths to help hire individuals that represent our diverse society. All positions will be posted on USAJOBS. Here, you can also learn more about each hiring path and your eligibility.

We encourage anyone interested in joining for the first time or returning to the BLM workforce to apply for any of these vacancies listed here.
