The BLM will host a wild horse and burro placement event, offering a limited number of excess animals gathered from western rangelands, May 29-31, 2025, at the Morrisville Western Training Arena in Morrisville, New York.
BLM Wyoming is planning to hold a wild horse adoption event at the Dakota Thurston County Fairgrounds, May 30-31, 2025. The event will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with up to 32 wild horses present during the event.
The BLM Montana/Dakotas will bring 41 wild horses and burros to the Upper Yellowstone Wild Horse & Burro Adoption Event, taking place June 6-8, 2025, at the Park County Fairgrounds in Livingston, Montana.
The event, held at the Wind River Public Off-Range Pasture north of Lander, Wyoming, will run 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and feature approximately 20 untrained wild horses for adoption and free tours to see the resident wild horses.
