California Advisory Councils and Committees

The Bureau of Land Management in California has three Advisory Councils within its borders: Northern California Resource Advisory Council (RAC), Central California Resource Advisory Council (RAC) and the California Desert District Advisory Council (DAC).

The Advisory Councils operate on the principle of collaborative decision-making and strive for consensus before making official recommendations to the BLM Designated Federal Officer.
