This week the General Land Office Records of the Week bring you another fascinating story from there collection, a land patent issued to the storied homesteader known as Jeremiah Johnson. In this century many people have circulated memes of his caracter in the internet. But most importantly, Johnson's personal history is revealed through records in our GLO collection! The GLO web site provides live access to Federal land conveyance records for the Public Land States, including image access to more than 12 million Federal land title records issued between 1788 and the present.
