Fireworks Prohibited on BLM Lands in Montana and the Dakotas

Fireworks are strictly prohibited on public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management. These areas consist of multiple national monuments, recreation areas, campgrounds and more across Montana and the Dakotas.

BLM seeks input for 2025 Montana oil and gas lease sale

The BLM Montana/Dakotas State Office opened a 30-day public scoping period on 13 Montana oil and gas parcels under consideration for a January 2025 lease sale. The comment period ends July 26, 2024.

BLM announces July 2024 oil and gas lease sale in Montana and North Dakota

The Bureau of Land Management Montana-Dakotas State Office today announced an oil and gas lease sale scheduled for July 16, 2024, to offer 27 oil and gas parcels totaling 5,574 acres in Montana and North Dakota.
