FOIA Reading Room

Welcome to the BLM’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Reading Room. The Freedom of Information Act was established to make the federal government accountable to the public for its actions and requires more transparency in agency policies. It also allows members of the public to request records from various Federal government agencies.

The BLM already has numerous manuals, policies and data online for public viewing. Please explore our website before making a FOIA Request. What you are looking for may already be posted.
