The lower strand of barbed wire was removed and replaced with a solid strand of wire 18” above the ground, designed to protect bighorn sheep.

Eagle Scout Sam Bender led 48 volunteers to build 15 bird boxes at Pariette Wetlands, boosting wildlife habitat and earning his Eagle rank. The BLM welcomes Scouts and others to partner on service projects.
