A regional recreation advisory committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 29, has been postponed. A new meeting date has not been set. The meeting was postponed because of an error in announcing the meeting in the Federal Register, as required by law. The meeting had been set for Tuesday at the Red Lion Hotel, 1021 N.E. Grand Ave., Portland, Ore. The Pacific Northwest Recreation Resource Advisory Committee makes recommendations on new recreation fee proposals or changes to fees on public lands managed by the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management in Oregon and Washington. The volunteer committee members represent a wide range of interest groups from both states. The Forest Service and BLM regret any inconvenience. A new meeting date and time will be announced soon.
The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land located primarily in 12 western states, including Alaska, on behalf of the American people. The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation. Our mission is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.
