On Tuesday May 26, 2009, the United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management-Eastern States, Lower Potomac Field Station will hold a public tour of the area proposed for parking at the planned Hidden Pond Trailhead at 10705 Belmont Blvd. Lorton, VA 22079. The tour and discussion will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. This tour is being held in response to concerns about the proposed location and design of the 7-car trailhead parking area at the Meadowood Recreation Area.
Construction could take place following completion of a project plan and environmental assessment for the project. This scoping meeting is a step in that process. All citizens who would like to learn more about this proposal are invited to attend this tour. Concerns, comments or suggestions are welcome and will be considered.
