Lower Potomac Field Station

The Bureau of Land Management Eastern States Lower Potomac Field Station manages recreation and natural resources on two properties in Maryland and Virginia. The Meadowood Special Recreation Management Area, includes 800 acres on the Mason Neck Peninsula in Fairfax County, Virginia, is located just 25 miles south of Washington, D.C. The 548-acre Douglas Point Special Recreation Management Area in Charles County, Maryland, is part of the 1,270-acre Nanjemoy Natural Resource Management Area located along the Potomac River in southern Maryland.
