Explore Canyons of the Ancients in 2026
From guided hikes and archaeology programs to dark sky events, art workshops, volunteer stewardship projects, and the annual Four Corners Indigenous Art Market, there’s something for everyone at Canyons of the Ancients National Monument in 2026.
Whether you're a history enthusiast, outdoor adventurer, aspiring artist, stargazer, or simply looking for a unique way to connect with public lands, our year-long event series offers opportunities to learn, explore, and engage with one of the most culturally significant landscapes in the American Southwest.
Check out the 2026 Event Schedule below and mark your calendar for your favorite programs. Most events are free and open to the public.
Many of these programs are made possible through the partnership and support of the Southwest Colorado Canyons Alliance, the official friends group of Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. SCCA works to inspire stewardship of the monument through education, volunteerism, interpretation, and community engagement. Their support helps connect visitors with the monument's rich cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and ongoing conservation efforts.
We hope you'll join us throughout the year to discover, learn, and celebrate this remarkable place.
