The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Campbell Creek Science Center (CCSC) expects more than 1,000 students to take part in the 51st annual Outdoor Week from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. daily, May 13 – 16 at the Campbell Tract Special Recreation Management Area.

Wild horses from public ranges in northeast California and burros from the southern California, Nevada, and Arizona deserts will be available for adoption Saturday and Sunday, May 10 and 11, at the Amador County Fairgrounds, 18621 Sherwood St., in Plymouth. The event will be at the Empire Lot.
The BLM along with the Friends of the Agua Fria National Monument will be conducting a nightjar listening survey the evening of May 10. The surveys will occur along Bloody Basin Road. Please register as space is limited.
The Bureau of Land Management is hosting a free guided bird walk at the Ma-le’l Dunes near Eureka in celebration of World Migratory Bird Day, Saturday, May 10, from 8 to 10 a.m. Participants should meet at the Ma-le’l Dunes South parking area. Registration is not needed to join.
The BLM’s Ridgecrest Regional Wild Horse and Burro Corrals, in cooperation with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, are offering horses and burros for adoption.
Preview the horses and burros on May 9, 1-3:30 p.m. On May 10, gates open at 8 a.m.; live auction adoption begins at 10:30. Up to 50 trained animals will be available!
