HAMILTON, Mont. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Forever Branded will host several Wild Burro adoption events at the Mustang Matt Facility in Hamilton, Montana. 

Events are scheduled for:

  • August 14, 2026 – 3:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. 
  • September 11, 2026 – 3:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.

Wild burros will be available for adoption at each event. All animals will be available for $125, and payment will be accepted by credit card only.

Prospective adopters are encouraged to complete the BLM Adoption Application in advance to expedite approval. Adoption paperwork must be completed online through the BLM Wild Horse and Burro Online Corral at: https://wildhorsesonline.blm.gov
