Silver Creek (North and South) | Idaho
Accessibility Description (ABA/ADA)
View images of accessibility features in a new window.
Silver Creek includes 3 camping sites, 1 in the northern part of the location and 2 in the southern part. The 2 south sites are more developed than the 1 north campsite. There are information kiosks in both sections. None of the sites have potable water, and cell phone reception is good.
Both campsites in the southern section were built to be accessible. Both sites have accessible double-walled fire rings with grill attachments and covered picnic tables sitting on concrete. These tables have extended tops to accommodate wheelchair users. In addition, 1 of the south sites has an elevated tent pad.
The 2 south campsites share an accessible single vault toilet. The gravel parking spot is signed but not paved. A concrete pathway leads from the parking spot to the toilet.
The north campsite has an accessible single vault toilet next to an accessible concrete parking pad that includes an access aisle for a vehicle with a side ramp. An uncovered picnic table and a single-walled fire ring and grill sit on fine compacted gravel between the toilet and the river. The picnic table legs are recessed to accommodate a visitor in a wheelchair. Be aware that this site slopes down toward the creek, so caution is warranted.
