PIEDRAS BLANCAS LIGHT STATION Tours

Due to the sensitivity of cultural and natural resources, visitation is by guided tour only.

Closed for Christmas and New Years holiday.

September 1st - June 14th tours are offered Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. 
June 15th - August 31st tours are offered daily except Wednesdays and Sundays.

(There are no tours on federal holidays)

Tours last 2 hours and feature the historic lighthouse, support buildings, 
wildlife, plants and spectacular coastal scenery along an easy ½ mile interpretive trail.

Meet at the former Piedras Blancas Motel, located 1.5 miles north of the light station.

Arrive at the motel at 9:45 am. Do not wait at the gate to the lighthouse!

The fee is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6 -17, no fee for children ages 5 and under.*

Volunteer tour guides show people around Piedras Blancas

Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress warmly.

Small children should be carried or placed in a stroller.

Tours may be cancelled due to inclement weather.

Wheelchairs and strollers are available.

Notice

The health and safety of our visitors and staff remains the number one priority of the Bureau of Land Management. In accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and with the Governor’s shelter in place order, the BLM will temporarily suspend tours to help limit the spread of COVID-19.
