Warroad, Minnesota

This week, we travel to northwest Minnesota to focus on the history and establishment of the original "hockey town," Warroad. Located right along the edge of Lake of the Woods and only 7.5 miles south of the Canadian border, this town is known for its brisk climate and fondness for winter sports, most notably hockey. The GLO website provides live access to Federal land conveyance records for the Public Land States, including image access to more than 12 million federal land title records issued between 1788 and the present.
