This week's interesting General Land Office record features a survey plat that displays a historic landmark, the Montezuma Well. The well, a detached part of an already remarkable historic landmark called The Montezuma Castle National Monument, has been home to a variety of indigenous American tribes. The GLO web site provides live access to Federal land conveyance records for the Public Land States, including image access to more than 12 million Federal land title records issued between 1788 and the present.
