Deer Creek Campground | Utah

Deer Creek Campground is a small cozy campground nestled in Deer Creek Canyon at 5800 ft. There are 7 campsites and potable water is not available. This small campground is located along the scenic Burr Trail Road in the Grand Staircase/Escalante National Monument. The campground does not accommodate travel trailers due to site limitations.

Accessibility Description (ABA/ADA)

The 7 campsites in Deer Creek Campground were redesigned in 2016 to provide accessible infrastructure and amenities. There is also ample space between campsite amenities to facilitate access.

Most of the travel surfaces within the campground are flat, and visitors can use the main driveway, with a firm, stable, road-based surface, to travel from the individual sites to the shared accessible toilet. Service animals are permitted with no restrictions.

Each site within the campground has the following accessible features/amenities:

  • Accessible parking; each site has its own adjacent parking space.

  • Accessible picnic tables that can accommodate wheelchair users at both ends.

  • Fire rings with grill attachments.

NOTE: Descriptions and photos uploaded August 2024. Please note that actual on-the-ground conditions may vary due to natural events (e.g., weather, wildfires, erosion), normal wear and tear, or site improvements.
