PRINEVILLE, Ore. - As part of its multiple-use mission to support working landscapes that help local communities grow, the Bureau of Land Management, Prineville District, is requesting public input regarding a proposed project to renew a livestock grazing permit. It covers the Millican and Williamson Creek grazing allotments located on both the north and south sides of Highway 20 near Millican, Oregon.

The project is considering structural range improvements (such as water improvements) and juniper treatment as part of the range of alternatives. The Grazing Permit Renewal for Millican and Williamson Creek Grazing Allotments Environmental Assessment (EA) (DOI-BLMORWA-P000-2017-0012-EA) analyzes the expected effects of these proposed actions.

The Environmental Assessment and draft Finding of No Significant Impact for this proposal are available on the BLM’s ePlanning website at: http://bit.ly/Millican-Grazing. Documents can also be requested from the BLM office at (541) 416-6700 during business hours (7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays), excluding federal holidays.
