Salem, Ore. – Riding at BLM’s Shotgun Creek Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) Area is now prohibited when the fire danger level is High or Extreme to reduce the risk for fire starts.

Conditions are particularly dry in the area this year due to a lack of precipitation and warm temperatures. As a reminder, campfires are only allowed in designated fire rings. Please also be careful with cigarettes, and only smoke on roadways or away from vegetation.

To check the fire danger level visit https://www.oregon.gov/ODF/Fire/Pages/Restrictions.aspx.
