MOAB, Utah—The Bureau of Land Management Moab Field Office, in partnership with Grand County, is continuing work to improve the Powerdam parking area.  Construction will take place during the week of Feb. 12, so the parking area will not be available to the public due to the use of heavy equipment and dump trucks.

The parking area at the end of Powerhouse Lane will be reconfigured to accommodate better traffic flow for emergency services and other vehicles.  The existing parking area will be expanded on the south and east sides to add a traffic lane.  These improvements will result in increased safety at this high-use trailhead near the City of Moab.

The BLM requests that members of the public not drive or park in this area during the daytime while work is underway.  For further information, please call the Moab Field Office at 435-259-2100.
