Subject: Current Vegetation Survey Data Standard
This instruction bulletin (IB) establishes the Oregon/Washington (OR/WA) spatial data standard for the Current Vegetation Survey (CVS) (see attached Data Standard document). The data this standard covers is available for display and analytical purposes by all users.
The CVS dataset represents spatial location and basic information about survey plots and subplot polygons for BLM-administered lands in western Oregon. These data contain information on trees, stumps, understory vegetation, reference points, and down woody material, as well as summary statistical tabular data. The data standard defines how this type of data is to be captured in a Geographic Information System (GIS) geodatabase, defines attributes used, and defines coding schemes (domains).
