OR-Lower Table Rock, Oak Savannah Trail Accessibility Features

Click on the image above to view more photos of accessibility features at this site.

The Oak Savannah Trail is the only accessible trail in the Table Rock area, which includes Lower Table Rock and Upper Table Rocks. The Lower and Upper Table Rock trails leading to the top of the mesas both have steeper grades and more uneven terrain as compared to the flat, graveled surface of the Oak Savannah Trail.

The Oak Savannah Trail can be reached from the same trailhead that provides access to the Lower Table Rock Trail up to the mesa. The paved parking area at this trailhead has approximately 30 striped spaces, 3 of which are designated as accessible. These spaces have access aisles for vehicles with a side lift or ramp for mobility devices.

A unisex double vault toilet is located near the parking lot, as are a shaded information kiosk and benches without arms. The site does not have picnic tables, grills, or running water.

The parking lot leads to a 5-feet-wide gravel trail used to access both the Lower Table Rocks Trail and the Oak Savannah Trail. About 550 feet (.10 miles) from the parking area, the Oak Savannah Trail splits off, taking visitors on a half-mile loop through native oak habitats with views of Lower Table Rocks’ bluffs and some views of the valley below.

The flat Oak Savannah Trail has 6 benches with 1 arm each, spaced an average of about 350 feet apart. Interpretive panels along the trail are angled toward the viewer at a height appropriate for visitors using mobility devices.
