Hogup Mountains Designated Routes | Utah

The Hogup Mountains are located at the northwest corner of the Great Salt Lake. This range is separated into two main ridges which are divided by a large valley and the highpoint of the road, Big Pass. The western ridge has the highest peaks including, Tangent Peak, 7,047 feet. Visitors may drive motor vehicles on designated routes only in the area. Nearly all routes require high clearance four wheel drive vehicles. Things to do include backcountry camping, hiking, photography, OHV riding and wildlife viewing.
