Byers Pass is located within Bald Mountain off of Byers Pass road. The area is utilized for unregulated target shooting. Please drive slowly through residential areas.
BLM does not specifically manage shooting areas, however target shooting on BLM lands is allowed if conducted in a safe manner. There are no facilities at Byers Pass, please pack out what you pack in. For more information about unregulated target shooting contact the BLM at 530-252-5303.

Directions
From Susanville, CA, take Highway 395 North toward Standish, CA. Turn right onto Byers Pass Road, continue for 3 miles, the area is located on the left side of the road. Turn left onto the BLM road over the cattle guard. The unregulated target shooting area is about .05 miles from the cattle guard.
