The Arkansas Hills area (also known as “S” Mountain or Tenderfoot Mountain) is easily accessible from downtown Salida. The Arkansas Hills Trail System offers mountain biking for riders of all skill levels while enjoying the view of the Upper Arkansas Valley. This trail system is a collaboration between the BLM Royal Gorge Field Office, Salida Mountain Trails, and the City of Salida.
