Keeler Mine

Location:  Keeler, CA

Field Office:  Ridgecrest Field Office

The Keeler Mine site is located near the rural community of Keeler in Inyo County, California. Workings include underground openings. The property was developed by a 250-foot deep vertical shaft with levels at 70, 130 and 250 feet. A 160-foot drift was driven NW on the 70 level. A 550-foot drift was driven NW on the 130 level. A 350-foot drift was driven on the 250 level. Four hundred feet North of the shaft on the 130 level a crosscut was driven East for 120 feet. About 250 feet from the shaft, a winze was sunk 155 feet to the North on the 250 level. The ore shoot has been stopped from the 250 level to within 70 feet of the surface. The property had a concentrator/grinder plant with a capacity of 17,464 tons per /year and employed 3 workers.
