The Bureau of Land Management will offer sale of up to 17 million board feet of timber to be harvested from across 662 public acres near Holley in Linn County. The BLM will accept written and oral bids at 10 a.m. on June 26, 2025, at the Springfield Interagency Office, 3106 Pierce Parkway, Springfield, Ore.

The Department of the Interior today announced the formal rescission of 18 obsolete or redundant Bureau of Land Management regulations in a decisive move to advance America’s energy independence and economic vitality.

The Bureau of Land Management sold 12.9 million board feet of timber across 324 public acres to Freres Engineered Wood of Lyons during the May 21 Green Stone timber sale. The sale generated $5,851,592 in revenue. This project will produce enough timber to build roughly 800 homes, feed local mills, and support jobs in western Oregon communities.

The BLM will offer up to 8.5 million board feet of timber for sale. Timber produced from these sales will provide critical supplies for construction and other industries, and support jobs across western Oregon economies.

The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on proposed timber sales to reduce wildfire risk from dead and dying trees across about 5,300 acres in Applegate Valley near Jacksonville.

The BLM has distributed more than $27.7 million in timber revenue payments to 18 western Oregon counties. The payments are supported by the timber harvested from public lands and support local services.

The BLM Medford District is closing the gate on Bear Camp Road on Monday, December 9. The gate, which is closed annually for public safety due to winter weather, will remain closed until snow conditions allow for safe passage in the spring.
