The BLM announced an oil and gas lease sale scheduled for Jan. 6, 2026, to offer 32 oil and gas parcels totaling 20,479 acres in New Mexico and Oklahoma.

BLM approves Lisbon Valley Copper Mine expansion in Utah

The approved plan includes new open pit mining operations and will add in-situ recovery using a combination of injection, production, and monitoring wells. New authorized mining would result in the recovery of more than half a billion pounds of copper.

BLM approves Caldwell Canyon phosphate mine in Idaho
