Two men charged with vandalism of BLM facilities

KREMMLING, Colo. – Two Kremmling men must each perform 100 hours of community service and pay up to $5,500 in fines for vandalizing Bureau of Land Management facilities at the Confluence Recreation Site just south of Kremmling. Alexander Schultz, 19, and Dezmin Jackson, 20, vandalized the restroom, a kiosk, a retaining wall, and other items with graffiti.
Law Enforcement Officers from the BLM investigated the vandalism, receiving assistance from the Kremmling Police Department after similar vandalism took place in the town of Kremmling. Schultz and Jackson both appeared in court on May 8, 2014. If they complete their community service and pay the fines by May 8, 2015, charges will be dropped.
The BLM encourages the public to enjoy recreational opportunities on public lands and to maintain these areas by recreating in a safe and sustainable way, using facilities as directed and reporting any vandalism or other crimes witnessed.
