FILLMORE, Utah – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Utah Little Sahara Recreation Area (LSRA) visitor center will be closed for the winter through Feb. 19, 2017.  The center will be closed and unstaffed, but the recreation area will remain open.

The vault toilets in all of the campgrounds and the flush/dump station will remain open during the winter, but no water will be available.  Water to the RV flush/dump station, the White Sands Campground, all of the restrooms have been shut off for the winter months.  Frost-free potable water systems will remain in service and be available.

The public must still pay the daily use fee at the self-pay fee station, and staff will continue to patrol the recreation area.  The public is reminded to take all appropriate safety measures, including not riding alone, using protective equipment, and wearing clothing suited to adverse weather conditions.

For emergencies, call 9-1-1.  Visitors should report non-emergencies to the Juab County Sheriff’s Office at (435) 623-1626.  Any LSRA maintenance-related issues should be reported to LSRA outdoor recreation planner Jay Cram at (435) 433-5960 or (801) 971-6592.
