Roseburg, Ore. – Please join the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for a volunteer friendly day of trail improvements on the Tioga section of the North Umpqua Trail (NUT), as part of National Public Lands Day (NPLD), 2019.

The North Umpqua Trail is still in need of trail maintenance following our winter storms! Our work will primarily focus on pruning back vegetation that is obstructing the trail and improving the trail surface.

Volunteers interested in participating in the trail improvement and cleanup will meet in the parking area at the Tioga Bridge at 9:00 a.m. on Friday August 23, 2019. Volunteers will work until about 1:30 p.m.

The BLM will provide all tools and work gloves needed. Please wear sturdy shoes, sunscreen, a long sleeved shirt and long pants. Please bring water and a light snack.

If you plan to participate in this activity, please rsvp your attendance to Suzanne Shelp at 541-464-3291 or sshelp@blm.gov by August 19, 2019.

This event is part of hundreds of events occurring across the nation in celebration of National Public Lands Day. Come out and participate in this event that supports public lands in your area. To learn more about National Public Lands Day, please visit https://www.neefusa.org/npld.
