The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Southern Nevada District Office in Las Vegas is changing the hours of operation for its Public Room to open at 8 a.m. and close at 4:30 p.m. The Public Room is the location where people can purchase maps and America the Beautiful passes, file and pay for claims, leases and other land related items, access land records and obtain other public land information.

The BLM, Southern Nevada District has assessed the amount of public visitation to the Public Room from 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m., and has determined that this change of Public Room hours to 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. will have little to no impact to the public.

The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land located primarily in 12 western states, including Alaska, on behalf of the American people. The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation. Our mission is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.
