BLM seeks comments on grazing permit renewals in Eagle, Garfield, and Pitkin counties

SILT, Colo. – The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on 53 livestock grazing permit renewals administered by the Colorado River Valley Field Office.
The grazing permits cover lands in Eagle, Garfield, and Pitkin counties. Thirty-one permits are up for renewal in 2014, and 22 permits are up for renewal in 2015. A map and a list of the grazing permits involved are available on-line at https://www.blm.gov
If you have any information or concerns, or wish to be considered as an interested public for the permit renewals please contact Isaac Pittman atisaac_pittman@blm.gov or 970-876-9069 to be put on a mailing list. Specific information about conditions observed on any of these allotments or about concerns related to resources found within specific allotments will be particularly helpful. BLM will accept scoping comments through Sept. 30, 2013.
The 567,000-acre Colorado River Valley Field Office currently administers 143 grazing permits covering 191 grazing allotments.
