DOLORES, Colo. – The Bureau of Land Management’s grazing staff invites the public to tour the Flodine Park Allotment within Canyons of the Ancients National Monument on Thursday, Oct, 29. This closed allotment is under consideration for reopening, and the tour provides the public an opportunity to learn about the environmental analysis while providing input into the process.

The field trip starts at 1 p.m., and interested participants should RSVP by Wednesday, Oct. 28, to Garth Nelson at 970-882-6847 or gnelson@blm.gov.

The field trip will depart from the vacant M & M truck stop at the southwest junction of County Road G and Highway 491 near the Port of Entry in Cortez, Colorado.

Participants need hiking shoes, layered clothing and water.
