BLM hosts Public Lands Day Event at Washoe State Park on October 7

Volunteers needed for National Public Lands Day Project at Washoe State Park.

CARSON CITY, Nev. - The Bureau of Land Management, Carson City District along with Washoe State Park will host a National Public Lands Day (NPLD) event on October 7, 2017. At this event volunteers will collect seeds from native plants and the seeds collected will go into restoration projects for other public land sites.

Where: Washoe State Park - (when heading North or South on I580/395 take exit 46)

When: 9 a.m. to Noon

This is one of the many events that will be held around the country as part of the 24th annual NPLD.  NPLD is the nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands which American’s enjoy.
