Officials in the Bureau of Land Management Eastern States office announced their intention today, to extend an internal review period of the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the equestrian barn at the Meadowood Special Recreation Management Area in Lorton, Va. This review is being extended for a minimum of 30 days.

The EA describes the environmental impacts of various alternatives that would rehabilitate the structure, and includes a proposed action that would renovate the barn within its existing footprint. The EA may be accessed on-line at http://www.blm.gov/es/st/en/fo/lpfo_html/meadowood_ea.html.
