BLM Canyon County District announces second customer service week

MOAB, Utah — The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Canyon Country District will host our second virtual Customer Service Week, Aug. 31 through Sept. 2 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Mountain Time. Customer Service Week presentations will share information BLM programs, processes, regulations, and provide insight into our work in service of the American public. Customer Service Week participants will have the opportunity to learn more about specific programs in the Canyon Country District and interact with local staff. The Canyon Country District includes BLM-managed public lands in Southeastern Utah, specifically those in Grand and San Juan counties.

During Customer Service Week, BLM staff and managers will cover topics diverse topics. The BLM plans to record presentations for later viewing. Topics are listed by day below:

•    Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021: Wildlife, Abandoned Mines, and Mineral Classification 
•    Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021: Camping on BLM, Travel Management, and River Management 
•    Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021: Economics of Recreation and Impacts of Vandalism

There is no cost to attend, and you may participate in any of the topics that interest you. We will be using Zoom to stream these sessions virtually. Please register in advance: https://bit.ly/37zykLq

There may be options for in-person attendance; please contact Rachel Wootton at rwootton@blm.gov or (385) 235-4364 with questions or with requests for accommodation. Persons who use a telecommunications device for the deaf may call the Federal Relay Service (FRS) at 1-800-877-8339 to leave a message or question for the above individual. The FRS is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Replies are provided during normal business hours. Each day of Customer Service Week will go no later than 12 p.m. but may end early if the presentations are complete and questions are answered.
