San Juan Islands National Monument Junior Explorer Activity Book

junior explorer

In the San Juan Islands of northwestern Washington, the land uses are primarily recreation and environmental protection; hunting and fishing are also allowed. The activity book includes trail bingo, mapping, orca whales, sea lions, history, tide pools, and river otters. The "Art of Storytelling" connects kids to the Coast Salish Native Americans, who lived in the area and told stories for thousands of years as a way to share knowledge, values, and information.
