Text of Dos Palmas Planting Day on black background with topography lines

Spend the day planting screwbean mesquite in riparian areas within an extensive palm oasis and network of wildlife ponds! Screwbean mesquite provides important browsing habitat for migratory birds including warblers and flycatchers.
Meet 8:00 AM at the BLM Palm Springs Field Office (1201 Bird Center Dr. Palm Springs, CA) and carpool to the preserve. Anticipated return time is 4:30 PM.

Bring a sack lunch, water bottle, gloves, sunhat, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Bathrooms, water refills, and tools will be provided. Expect a moderate level of activity including some walking, lifting plants, carrying water, and digging holes.
