Event Description

Casper, Wyo. – Join the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center on August 22 and 23 for a special two-day event featuring a pioneer living history encampment and 19th century blacksmithing demonstrations.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, the Trails Center welcomes back David Osmundsen and the Merchant Family. The Merchant Family will portray a civilian life encampment on the pioneer trails with a covered wagon, pioneer games, and music, while Osmundsen demonstrates various 19th century blacksmithing techniques.
