The BLM administers the Federal onshore oil and gas leasing program in Alaska. Oil and gas leasing on Alaska’s Federal lands is concentrated in three regions: the Cook Inlet Region in southcentral Alaska includes both sides of the Cook Inlet, the approximately 23-million-acre National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska, and the approximately 1.6-million-acre Coastal Plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Federal lands produce millions of cubic feet of natural gas and millions of dollars annually.

Total U.S. production and Consumption data and percentages fluctuates annually. To view the latest data visit www.eia.gov.
