Sixes River Recreation Site provides 19 campsites in a forested hideaway along Sixes River. Sixes River is an excellent spot for picnicking, swimming, and wildlife viewing.

Natural Features

Sixes River Recreation Site is dominated by big-leaf maple, oak, and Douglas-fir that provide copious amounts of shade throughout the campground.

Nearby Attractions

The area provides warm temperatures and easy access to nearby coastal attractions. Cape Blanco Lighthouse, New River Nature Center, Oregon State Parks, and several coastal beaches are nearby.

Coming from Northbound on U.S. 101: To Reach Sixes River Campground, travel five miles north of Port Orford, Oregon, and turn right onto Sixes River Road and travel approximately 11 miles. 

Coming Southbound on U.S. 101: Travel 25 miles south of Bandon, Oregon and turn left on to Sixes River Road and travel approimately 11 miles.
