Pit River Campground | California

The Pit River Recreation area is adjacent to the Pit River, and has a small campground with eight campsites with tables, metal firerings, and barbeque pits. Amenities include: two single wheelchair accessible restrooms, a kayak launch ramp, and an accessible fishing pier. Camping:$8.00/night Campground Opens May 22nd.

Directions

From Redding, California, take Highway 299 East toward Burney, California. After Burney, go 12-miles east until you see the sign "Pit Power House" road. Follow the signs downhill to the campground.

Fees

Fee Description: 

  • $8.00 Daily Camping fee.
  • $12.00 Group camping fee. (one group site)
  • $7.00 parking fee for additional vehicles 
  • America the Beautiful, Senior and Military passes accepted.

All sites are first come first served and fees go towards the management and maintenance of Pit River Campground to support positive user experiences please respect the campground and all users. Have a wonderful experience.
