Jack Creek Trail

The Jack River Trail is located at mile 131 of the Denali Highway, approximately four miles east of Cantwell, Alaska. The trail is an Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) 17(b) easement providing access through Ahtna, Inc. native lands to public lands. Public lands begin at mile 2 of the trail. Allowable uses along the 25 foot wide easement include foot, horse, and OHV’s up to 3000 lbs. The trail provides access to the Jack River Valley. Expect heavier use during hunting season, Mid-August to Late September.

Directions

From the Cantwell end of Denali Highway (milepost 135), drive to milepost 131 to access the trail. on the south side (right side) of the road.
