Hole in the Rock HWY12 Wayside | Utah

At the Hole in the Rock Highway 12 wayside stop you can admire the Straight Cliffs as they extend for 50 miles to the cliffs of the Colorado River.

Accessibility Description (ABA/ADA)

This site has good cell phone reception.

Parking for 10-12 vehicles is in a paved pullout off Utah State Route 12, also known as Scenic Byway 12. The half-circle-shaped pullout is about 200 feet long and 50 feet wide at the widest point. None of the spaces are designated as accessible, but the surface should be appropriate for people with limited mobility and wheelchair users.

There is 1 angled interpretive sign with historical information about the site. The bottom edge of the sign is about 3 feet from the ground, and the sign is viewable from pavement on the side of the pullout farthest from the road.

This wayside has no toilets, potable water, or trash cans.
