Idaho Fire Restrictions
The Bureau of Land Management implements fire restrictions to prevent losses from human-caused wildfires brought on by extreme drought, high fire danger conditions, and the increased use of public lands.

Coeur d'Alene Field Office
- August 7, 2026: Wildfire danger is Extreme in some parts of northern Idaho. Therefore, pursuant to Title 43 CFR 9200, subpart 9212.2, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Coeur d’Alene District Manager has instituted Stage II Fire Restrictions within areas of the Coeur d’Alene District. Those areas include public lands administered by the BLM in the Coeur d’Alene North Zone. Map

- August 7, 2026: Wildfire danger is Extreme in parts of southwestern Idaho. Therefore, pursuant to 43 CFR 920, subpart 9212.2 and 423.3(d), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Boise District Manager has instituted Stage I Fire Restrictions within areas of the Boise District. Those areas include public lands administered by the BLM and Bureau of Reclamation in the Owyhee Mountains Zone, Treasure Valley Zone, and West Central Mountains Zone. Map
