Northwest Oregon: BLM Seeks Hosts for Recreation Sites

Salem, Ore. -- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking spring and summer campground hosts. Duties typically include greeting guests, providing visitor information, and facility maintenance. Hosts typically live at the site in either a RV or tent. The season runs from April through September; length of service is negotiable. A daily allowance of $7.50 to $17.50 is provided depending on amenities offered at the site. Openings include:

Wildwood Recreation Site – day-use site located east of Sandy, OR. Need two to three camp host couples. Amenities: full hookups, propane, free laundry, golf cart, and internet access.

Alsea Falls Recreation Site – campground and day-use site located between Alsea and Alpine, OR. Need one camp host or camp host couple. Amenities: water.

Elkhorn Valley Recreation Site – campground and day-use site located east of Salem, OR. Need one camp host or camp host couple. Amenities: water, electric and sewage dump.

Molalla River Corridor – campgrounds and day-use sites located southeast of Molalla, OR. Need one camp host or camp host couple. Amenities: water and sewage dump.

Canyon Creek Recreation Site – day-use site located east of Salem, OR. Need one camp host couple. Amenities: water, electric and sewage dump.

Yellowbottom Recreation Site – campground and day-use site located northeast of Sweet Home, OR. Need one camp host couple. Amenities: water.

Clay and Whittaker Creek Recreation Sites – campgrounds located west of Eugene, OR. Need one to two camp host couples per site. Amenities: cell service (depending on carrier).

Sharps Creek Recreation site – campground located east of Cottage Grove, OR. Need one camp host. Amenities: electricity, telephone service, and water available via hand pump.

Mosby Creek Trailhead – National Recreation Trail and State Scenic Bikeway located east of Cottage Grove, OR. Need one trailhead host. Amenities: potable water, electricity, sewage disposal and phone hookups.
