WINNEMUCCA, Nev.— As we approach hunting season, the Winnemucca District staff wants to make the public aware of damage on, but not limited to, Fencemaker Canyon Road and Panther Canyon Road.

District engineers will be assessing the damage and tackling the repair work as quickly as possible. Damage may not be limited to roads maintained by the Bureau of Land Management.

“We also strongly urge Burning Man Event goers to avoid Jungo Road for access to the event. Jungo Road can be very rough on tires and cell coverage is spotty at best, should you need help,” said Winnemucca District Manager, Ester McCullough.

Please use caution if you are driving in remote areas of the district. For more information, please call 775-623-1500.
